Occupy your State Capitol December 18-19, 2016

SHARE: Please share with people in your state and people in other states to make this a National Effort at all state houses. States that voted Democrat can do the same to show national solidarity on the issue of electing the winner of the National popular vote for President.
It is also the Constitutional moral and patriotic duty of the Electoral College to elect a qualified candidate for President.
CLINTON WINS THE POPULAR VOTE:
As of today, votes from the 2016 election are still being counted, and Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in the Popular Vote by over two and a half million votes. Ms. Clinton's lead is likely to increase further in the coming days.
THE ELECTORAL VOTE MAY NOT REPRESENT US:
On Monday, December 19, the Electoral College delegates for each state will meet at their respective State Capitols to place their vote on behalf of the people of their state. Due to archaic laws of dispersal, it is likely that these votes will be cast for Donald Trump. We cannot let this stand. We must let our Electoral College delegates know that they have a duty to represent the choice of the American people, and the Popular Vote shows that our choice is resoundingly not Donald Trump.
CALL TO ACTION:
** Sunday, December 18:
Many people don't work on the weekend, so take this opportunity to bring your families to the State Capitol and show them how democracy in action works! Bring signs, megaphones, and demand justice. Let your voice be heard loud and clear. Let your presence send the message that honoring the Popular Vote is the *only* way we can be truly and fairly represented in the U.S. The benefit of protesting in large numbers nationwide starting the day before the actual vote is that it allows time for media coverage to amplify our voices.
** Monday, December 19:
Return to the State Capitol and stand strong while the Electoral College Voters arrive, enter the building, and cast their votes for the next President of the United States. Again, bring signs, megaphones, and demand justice. Let your voice be heard loud and clear. Let your presence send the message that honoring the Popular Vote is the *only* way we can be truly and fairly represented in the U.S.
My dearest wish is that this becomes a nationwide effort. If you're Minnesotan, will you join this event and share it with your friends? If you're in another state, will you see if your state already has something planned, and if not, will you create an event for yours with the same title?
Spread the word! Invite your friends! Show up!
